Screenwriter Charlie Kaufman is haunted by an elusive dollelganger who is laboring to author his own screenplay about this film. The success of this fictional twin berates and frustrates Charlie while he seeks to rise above and find inspiration from the real life author whose nonfiction book about orchid hunting he is struggling to adapt. The film throws you into a kind of farce-like understand-me-if-you-can bedlum that snaps along nicely to the crunch of popcorn in your mouth until finally it runs out, and your left with the puzzlingly banal and hard to swallow kernals of a tired old hollywood chase scene.
